Islamic Programs
Learn the Qur'an. Learn Arabic. Start where you are.
Classes at Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Masjid run through the week for children, adults, sisters and youth. Most are free, and beginners are genuinely welcome — a good number of our adult students started without reading a word of Arabic.

What We Teach
Six regular programmes, taught by qualified teachers from the community.
Children's Madrasah
Qur'an recitation, Arabic letters, and the fundamentals of the religion for children, taught at weekends in small groups.
Qur'an Memorisation (Hifz)
A structured memorisation programme with a qualified teacher, at a pace set for each student rather than the group.
Adult Qur'an & Tajweed
Correct recitation from the very beginning, including for adults who have never read Arabic script before.
Arabic Language
Reading, writing and understanding Qur'anic Arabic, from the alphabet through to grammar.
Sisters' Learning Circle
A weekly halaqah for women, held in the sisters' prayer area, covering Qur'an, fiqh of worship and seerah.
Youth Halaqah
Discussion circles for teenagers and young adults on faith, character and the questions they actually have.
