Welcome to Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Masjid
A community masjid in Katampe Estates, Abuja. We open for all five daily prayers, gather for Jumu'ah each Friday at 1:30 PM, teach Qur'an and Arabic to children and adults, and support neighbours in need.

About Our Masjid
Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Masjid serves the Muslim community of Katampe Estates with daily congregational prayer, Islamic education and practical support for families — rooted in the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah.
Our Mission
To keep the five daily prayers established in Katampe Estates, to teach the Qur'an and Arabic to anyone who wants to learn, and to make sure no neighbour in hardship is overlooked.
Our Values
Authentic knowledge over opinion, service over status, and a masjid that is genuinely open — to women, to children, to converts and to visitors.
Our Name
Named after Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), the second Caliph, remembered for his justice, his plain living and his care for the vulnerable.
Learning & Community Programmes
Classes run through the week for children, adults, sisters and youth. Most are free to attend.
Children's Madrasah
Qur'an, Arabic letters and the basics of the religion, taught at weekends.
Adult Qur'an & Tajweed
Recitation from the beginning, including for adults who have never read Arabic.
Community Support
Nikah ceremonies, Zakat distribution, support for new Muslims, and help for families in hardship.
Our Facilities
A clean, quiet prayer hall with a Qur'an library, a separate prayer area for sisters, secure shoe lockers and wudu facilities.
Support the Masjid
Your Sadaqah and Zakat keep the lights on, the classes running and the Zakat fund available to families in need. Every naira is accounted for.
